An exhibition of the famous and infamous characters immortalised in Japanese literature, poetry and folklore. It includes great heroes from Japan�s past, such as the indomitable samurai who fought in the 12th century battle for national leadership, as well as portraits of Japan�s most popular kabuki actors and sumo wrestlers of the Edo period (1615�1867), when the hedonistic �floating world� flourished.
