The Art Gallery of New South Wales is the only Australian venue for this superb exhibition from the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, which has one of the world's finest and most famous collections of Impressionist paintings.

Twenty-nine of the finest paintings by the master of Impressionism, Claude Monet, are accompanied by superlative paintings by his contemporaries including Cézanne, Manet, Degas, Pissarro, Renoir and Sisley.

This selection highlights the breadth of Monet's interests, his influences and the influence he exerted on his contemporaries, from his beginnings in the 1860s until the summit of his fame in the 1900s.
