ART AFTER HOURS ARCHIBALD PROGRAM

Ever wondered what some of Australia's leading radio and television presenters do when they are not in front of the camera or behind the microphone?

Try cameo roles at the Archibald...

Richard Glover, Gretel Killeen and Jonathan Biggins are just some of the celebrity speakers who will discuss the illusion of fame at the Archibald during the Gallery's late night Wednesday programme Art After Hours.

From Wednesday 31 March, these speakers will be delving into the unanswered facets of the highly celebrated and controversial art prize. Biggins and Glover will ask Why aren't I in the Archibald? and Does the face reflect the soul?

Big Brother host Gretel Killeen hopes to get behind the scenes and quiz artists as to why no-one has painted her portrait yet!

The talks take place every Wednesday evening at 6.30pm at the Gallery from 31 March until 21 April and are free of charge. In addition, visitors can enjoy the free film program, with weekly screenings at 7.15pm and live jazz, wine and food in the ArtBar.
