July Art After Hours events are inspired by TAISHÔ CHIC: Japan in the 20s & 30s and feature Akira Isogawa and Asako Izawa. There are also special events celebrating NAIDOC week. The BIENNALE OF SYDNEY 08 is now open with the work of over 50 international artists.

23 July Akira Isogawa, fashion designer, in discussion with Deborah Cameron, ABC Radio 702 presenter, in association with Taishô Chic.
30 July Ben Hills, author of Princess Masako: Prisoner of the Chrysanthemum Throne
6 August Deborah Cheetham, Indigenous Soprano, actor and author of the internationally acclaimed play, White Baptist Abba Fan
13 August Daniel Browning in conversation with Tony Albert, artist in assocation with Living Black

2 July Riley Lee, shakuhachi master, with fellow artists, performs music of Japan in conjunction with Taishô Chic
9 July Mark Olive (a.k.a "Black Olive") demonstrates cooking with Indigenous products, in association with NAIDOC week
