Studio session
The Gardens and the Gallery: bringing life to art
Connect life with art through the exhibition Margaret Preston: art and life and the Royal Botanic Gardens' living collection of flowers and plants featured in Preston's artworks in the exhibition. This practical workshop, held in the Botanic Gardens adjacent to the Gallery, will provide inspiration and experiences for students to produce their own artwork, through the drawing and printmaking techniques used by Preston.

$285 per group of 30 or less (includes exhibition entry)
Monday and Wednesday
10.30am-12.30pm or 12.30-2.30pm

Teachers please note: this Studio Session time does not incorporate viewing the exhibition. Teachers should allow time either before or after this session to do so.

Engaging Australia
Situate Margaret Preston and her practice within the Gallery's Australian Modernist collection. Discover the changing images and stories of Australian art and social history between the World Wars through the images created by Preston's peers and colleagues.
