Unique 'Champagne' works of art on display at the Art Gallery of New South Wales
This year for the much anticipated annual fundraiser for the Art Gallery of New South Wales Research Library and Archive at the Finger Wharf, Woolloomooloo, 28 artists have created some extraordinary works of art on 28 rare bottles of French champagne.
Artists James Angus, Janet Laurence, Hany Armanious, Noel McKenna, Peter Churcher, Clinton Nain, Graeme Drendle, Peter Neilson, John Wolseley, Lindy Lee, Ann Thomson, Garry Shead, Colin Lanceley, David Larwill, Michael Lindeman, Geoffrey Ricardo, Peter Kingston, Kerrie Lester, Peter O'Doherty, Nick Howson, David Band, Melinda Harper, Matthew Johnson, Hilarie Mais, David McKay, Henry Mulholland, Jeffrey Smart and Peter Wegner have all created unique works of art for the event, the proceeds of which go to the Art Gallery of New South Wales Research Library and Archive.
Auction: Absentee bids on the champagne works of art may be left by fax on (02) 9225 1848 or email to stevenm@ag.nsw.gov.au until Thursday 11 November 2004.
