Entrance to Pieve of Cellole carbon pencil inscribed in carbon pencil 'CELLOLE' lower left "...the Romanesque Parish Church (Pieve) of Cellole that was built sometime around 1190 and consecrated in 1237, as confirmed by the two original plaques. It is a lonely spot now, surrounded by a grove of typically Tuscan cypresses. The Pieve or Church is entirely in stone, with an impressive facade pierced by a mullioned window divided by an elegant little column".
