The Southern hemisphere's pre-eminent contemporary art event will be held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Object Gallery and Artspace. The 12th Biennale takes as its focus a small number of artists whose work has made a significant impact on our ideas and attitudes by teasing our inflexibility and cautiously evolved views. An international selection committee has chosen around fifty artists whose work has rattled the cages of the status quo, including Yoko Ono, Juan Mu�oz, Sophie Calle, Louise Bourgeois and Xu Bing.
