Art adventure tour
Adventures in Asia. Imaginatively explore evocative locations from the realms of the Hindu gods to a Buddhist temple, from an ancient Chinese tomb to a Japanese tea room. Hear stories that bring to life traditions, customs and religious beliefs, and identify symbols to discover their meanings.

Asian artist workshops
Surrounded by artworks in the Asian Gallery, students are tutored by Asian artists in half-hour workshops combined with half-hour tours. Choose from: brush and ink painting, calligraphy, dance, music, origami or a tea ceremony.
Years 3-6 only • Tuesdays-Fridays • 1 hour • $225 per group of 15 or less • more information

Teachers enrichment day
A day of making 2: Asian art ‘Celebrate Asia’
Spend a day at the Gallery and sample our extensive array of Asian workshops and resources. The workshops will be led by our talented professional Asian artists. Gallery educators will inspire you through floortalks and discussions.

Brush up your art-making and appreciation skills and experience calligraphy workshops, a tea ceremony, origami and more to develop practical ideas for the K-6 classroom. Discover the many resources and programs that are available to teachers and students.
