Indigenous Connections
This Focus Room display celebrates the anniversary of the London premiere of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring with a selection of photographs taken during rehearsals by Axel Poignant. Sidney Nolan�s designs for the d�cor and costumes, images taken in Arnhem Land in the 1950s by Poignant, which inspired them, and a spectacular re-creation of Nolan's 'Moonboy' backcloth also feature.
