Chakras

Releasing the latent energy within, each chakra offers a way to balance one's desires and lead a more fulfilling and spiritually enriched life.

Chakras are energy centres aligned along the central axis of the body, from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Most commonly there are seven chakras, each corresponding to a specific part of the body. Through breath control and other yoga exercises, a practitioner awakens the dormant spiritual energy focussed in each chakra.

Kundalini in Sanskrit means “snake” and refers to the latent spiritual force in every human being that lies coiled like a snake, at the base of the spine. Once awakened through yoga and meditation, it rises through the chakras, unleashes energy, and produces spiritual knowledge and mystical powers. Within both Hinduism and Buddhism, Kundalini energy is personified as a goddess.
