Face value  The portrait is one of the most enduring art forms and still fascinates us today. Whether it is a famous face or a mysterious stranger, what can we tell about the person depicted? Discover the ways in which artists have portrayed themselves and others for over 500 years by looking at the exhibition Self portrait: Renaissance to contemporary and the Archibald Prize. Includes workshop ideas for the K-6 classroom.

Student study mornings
Me, myself and I  Investigate how the self-portrait can be a merging of the artist and sitter, private diary, advertisement of skill and experiment in technique, as well as vehicle of self-revelation, self-exploration and even psychoanalysis.
