|Fantastic Mountains reveals the rich imaginations and sensitivities of the Chinese landscape painter in a variety of styles. The exhibition explores the spiritual values and resonances, the philosophical and aesthetic notions that have shaped this renowned tradition in Chinese painting. Included in the exhibition are exquisite examples of hanging scrolls, hand scrolls, album leafs and fan-shape works of art from the Ming and Qing dynasties (14th-19th centuries), most of which have not been seen outside China.
