Investigate Australian history, myths and legends through the art of Sidney Nolan and develop a deeper understanding of this iconic artist.
Note: this Enrichment Day has been organised prior to the exhibition opening to maximise your planning and preparation time for visiting with students

Operation Art: Teachers Visual Arts workshop
Thursday 25 October • 10am-3.30pm
Includes morning tea, lunch and educational material
An opportunity to explore the possibilities of teaching and learning in the Visual Arts through engaging with the Operation Art exhibition and the Gallery's collections. Includes hands-on practical workshops, syllabus links, guided tours and education resources for the K-6 classroom.
A collaborative program between the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the NSW Department of Education and Training, and the Nelson Meers Foundation.

Body of work: Nolan's vision - the curator's vision

$8 per student (includes exhibition entry)
Consider the body of work through the retrospective exhibition. Analyse how this type of exhibition is organised through the curator's vision to communicate key ideas about the artist's vision, using individual artworks and their groupings that can be read by an audience.
